Hi,  

Did anybody applying to ETH Zurich Master's study received the "second" email from the admission office statting that their application has been forwarded to the respective Admission Committee of the program they are applying for?

Does anybody know what does that email means? Does it mean that they have found our bachelors degree adequate to continue masters at ETH maybe?

I applyed to RSC.

I didn't apply to that program but I believe I know what it means. Before the department looks at your application there's a step before where a general admissions committee reviews your application and makes sure you meet all the requirements such as if there is a minimum GPA and making sure you have all the required documents. It saves the departments those extra steps.

I received the second email on approximately 23rd, December. My friend who was applying for the other program has not had his documents forwarded before the Christmas break. He sent an email to the admission office and was informed that the first batch of applications were forwarded to the departments before Christmas and the second batch will be forwarded about three weeks later. (He sent the enquiry email on around 23rd, December). I guess you just need to wait for a few weeks and see. As stated on their website, all complete applications will be forwarded.

Have you or your friend applyed for ESOP? 

I got a confirmation email from the Financial Office that they have received my application for ESOP, but still no confirmation about the department itself. I guess my application passed that first stage as they would not forwarded it to the financial office.
