dobbythehouseelf Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 I was recently put on the alternate list at the University of Michigan's social work program for fall 2017. Does anyone have any experience with their alternate list? Their website said I could hear back as late as August, but I'm sure that's not right.
HopefullyMSW Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 I was waitlisted last year, and ultimately rejected. I submitted my application around mid-April, put on the wait list a few weeks later, and received my rejection letter in late August. I have read of other people being accepted off the wait list, maybe you just need to wait a bit. Good luck!!!! dobbythehouseelf 1
dobbythehouseelf Posted January 23, 2017 Author Posted January 23, 2017 Thank you! I can't seem to find anything online about when I might hear back from them other than "it might be the summer" or "sometime in August... maybe." It's absolutely killing me because I've wanted to go to U of M my whole life and I finally have a chance.
HopefullyMSW Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 I just realized, you can request an interview with them, if you think that would help you. It allows you clarify any "less than stellar" parts of your application package. That might be helpful to do?
