beelz Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I am an undergrad student at the University of North Texas and I am interested in graduate programs for publishing. Does anyone have any good ones they know of (personally or otherwise)? I have a few schools in mind: NYU, Boston University and Emerson, but if you know of any more I would really appreciate it!
the.northern.lights Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I believe those are the good ones. I know many schools offer certificate programs. Pace, Rosemont, and U of Denver offer full MS degrees however they are not well known and not considered "good". I recently spoke with a contact who works at Random House. She said to try and get into NYU's MS/ certificate program or Columbia's summer intensive. They have the best success in placing their alumni because almost all teachers in those programs are executives in the NYC publishing world. It is likely the same idea for Emerson and BU if you would like to work in Boston. Regardless, good luck! I graduated last year and intend to apply for fall 2011.
