I found few people talking about UW Madison here, so I'd like to start one.

I applied for PhD in educational policy to ELPA, and asked yesterday about the result. They said they will consider admissions next week. So, one week left to get out of this agonizing loop.

Hi! I have just received an admission letter from ELPA (hooray!) with no funding (bummer), though in the letter they promise that if assistantships become available in the future I "could" be considered. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea about how likely these assistantships may become available before the deadline. Thanks!

I live not too far from Madison. It's a great town. I would prefer to live there than where I currently do. Any news?

Hello! I am also waiting on news from the ELPA program (but Master's). I was told that my application will be decided during their March meeting.
