Hey I thought I'd start a thread for all the Austin hopefuls. I already live in Austin since my husband started his Phd here last Fall so I know I'll go to Austin as long as I'm accepted. But I was wondering if anyone knew about tuition cost compared to other programs and the possibility of funding. I, in turn, can answer any questions people might have about the city and/or the UT family housing since I live there. Plus I'd love to start with a few friends to make the process a little less daunting.

Well it doesn't seem like there are a lot f UT applicants on here but I was accepted and will be attending so if anyone else is also going to UT feel free to contact me.

I applied for the MSSW program for Fall 2010. On the site, it says allow 6-8 weeks for decisions. I'm on week 7 and haven't heard anything. I'm beginning to get a little anxious.

Anyone know if they have sent out all acceptance letters? Opinions? Thoughts?

Just got my acceptance letter!! yay!!!

Just an FYI, they said they would be sending out letters well into April since they got more applicants than expected. So if you haven't heard anything, hold out a little longer!

I'm really interested in UT's MSW program but am a little discouraged with the GRE scores they have listed.. I took the GRE and did not do as well as planned (I'm taking it again in July). Any advice/insight on how much GRE scores play into the admissions process? What were some of the credentials/qualifications you had (if you don't mind me asking). Thanks so much!
