Curious to see if anyone else is still waiting to hear from UMass. I have not heard anything since submitting my app- not even waitlisted.

Hey! I was accepted at UMass pretty late in the game. I don't think they have a waitlist there. It seems like they accept a bunch of students in February and wait for some of them to decline the offer before picking individually from the rest of the pile. I think everyone is essentially on an imaginary waitlist until they officially fill their cohort and then send out rejections. That being said, I know they sent out several rejections ages ago, so I think that means you are essentially on the waitlist. If you're really anxious about it, I would just email and ask.

Hi! I heard from them earlier this week. It seems like they do what @kenz said. I got a call and an email asking if I was still interested in the program so it looks like they are getting ready to send out some more acceptances!

^ Same thing just happened to me. I hadn't heard from them at all  so I emailed to follow up and then they called asking if I was still interested. I was accepted the next day via email!

Congratulations! I actually just emailed today but I could not find the email for the specific department so I just emailed UMass graduate admissions. Is that who you emailed?

Thank you! I emailed the graduate school as well and I believe they contacted the Com-Sci Graduate Admissions committee.

Awesome, thank you soooo much for your reply! I also just emailed the graduate director too. Probably harassing them at this point lol but whatever! I really would like to go there and not hearing back is making me go insane.

Exactly! I ended up contacting a lot of schools that I was waitlisted at and I had positive feedback. Hope you hear good news soon!
