Stanford vs MIT

Hi,

I'm deciding between Stanford and MIT (postdoc -- I know not exactly the right forum but it seems that this is the most active one by far for such questions).

Do people know how the social life is at these schools? In particular, which school/area has a better dating scene (I'm a single guy).

  I cannot speak for Stanford, but MIT, given also its Cambridge location (essentially, most of Cambridge is a university town), has an active scene.
