Writer Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Hello fellow bloggers, So Columbia is my dream school--the location, the academic rigger. It's perfect for me. I feel I submitted a very strong application for their MFA: Fiction Writing program. Time will tell...in the meantime, I'm trying to read the writing on the walls. Here's the deal: I've received three e-mails from Columbia reminding me to submit my FAFSA and need access applications. Granted this was a form letter...but is every applicant on the list? Do you think a life changing e-mail or, better yet, a personal phone call is on the horizon? Thank you!!
tem11 Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I'm 99% sure this information is sent to every applicant in the system. Good luck to you, though!
Kam Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I wonder if it means anything if you don't get that message, though. I haven't received any FAFSA reminders from anyone.
JennyFieldsOriginal Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Kam, I didn't receive any reminders either. I noticed that you're applying for MA/PhD programs, and none of the PhD programs I applied to wanted any financial information (because funding is merit based). So don't be nervous
Kam Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Thanks for the info/reassurance, Jenny. It's so easy to get concerned and carried away about every tiny bit of possible info revealed in this process haha
