siming Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 anyone applied to this program? Does anyone know their timeline? Thanks!!
noojens Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I applied to Cornell for Mechanical Engineering, and heard back earlier this week. I know TAM was recently subsumed by the MAE department... but I'm not sure if TAM does its admissions separately from MAE still? When you filled out the application, did you apply for TAM specifically, or Mechanical Engineering with a focus in TAM? Anyway, I know that's not super helpful, but it's at least one data point for ya.
siming Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 thanks! I think they have a separate admission system. Have u got accepted to MAE? siming Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 Cong!!!I don't know. I know TAM admits very little people and I know someone admitted very late two years before. So may not hear from them before the open house Yep! Open house is 3/12-3/13... let me know if TAM's is the same weekend when you're admitted. =)

What are your interests, research-wise? Did you apply to any other TAM-like departments?
siming Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 My undergrad was control (a subfield both in EE and MAE). My grad was in dynamical system. TAM has a great program in nonlinear dynamical system. Anyone depart I applied is Northwestern's ESAM. Actually, there are very few TAM-like departments now.
