ariadne Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Has anyone applied for the Peggy Guggenheim internship for the 2010 season? Has anyone heard yet? Their website says we will be notified by email "by February 15" but now the sun has set in Italy and it doesn't seem like today will be the day.

I didn't apply and hope I don't offend anyone by saying this, but they're Italian. It may take a few days
Naina Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Hey, I applied too but I haven't heard anything as well. Although, it says on the application form that only successful candidates will be informed by the 15th of Feb. I hope that doesn't mean that I've got rejected!

Although, it says on the application form that only successful candidates will be informed by the 15th of Feb. I hope that doesn't mean that I've got rejected! I didn't see that before, but yes, you're right: it does say that "accepted candidates" will be notified by Feb. 15. I applied two years ago and didn't hear anything for several days after the 15th. I finally had to email them--like Feb. 18 or 19--and they emailed me back to say I was near the top of the waiting list. So yes, maybe alternate and rejected applicants will have to wait. Seems cruel? Edited February 15, 2010 by ariadne
Naina Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Well lets just say that, for now, no news is good news! Lets hope we make it!
rmcfaddi Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Having done the program, I was notified of my acceptance a couple days late (Feb. 19th). If you don't know by now, it probably isn't looking good. That being said, the intern situation there is extremely fluid, and people have been admitted to the program after originally being denied. All that said, it is a fun, but not academically challenging program- but the Guggenheim name looks good.
fragonard32 Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Hi guys, How good does your Italian have to be for the program?
