I am a current undergrad, but plan to get a masters or maybe even potentially a doctorate in economics. I am particularly interested in the developmental side of economics. I was doing quite a bit of research, but am still a little confused. Would it be, given I graduate from a good grad program and demonstrate the skills necessary, easy for a developmental economist to get a job working in the government? I am interested in working on the state level of government, and not necessarily foreign development. Are these good careers too from any more experienced economists? Thanks
