laura1595 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone can give me an idea of whether or not I have a chance at being accepted to a PsyD program. I am specifically interested in the program at Memorial University in Newfoundland. - I have my honours bachelor of Psychology from Trent University - Completed my honours thesis and won an award for my research - I volunteered for 1 semester in a lab that studied attachment - GPA for my last 2 years of study 88.85% - GPA from my first years of study 7.38 on 10 point scale - I worked for 3 summers at a summer camp style residential treatment centre for adolescents with mental health issues - Volunteered at a telephone support line for 1 school year - Volunteered for various organizations through high school and university: hospital, health promotion at university, new immigrant centre, international student centre, cancer support club. - Currently teaching High School English in South Korea I'm basically worried that I don't have enough research experience and that my GPA is too low. I was in a different program before switching into psychology so I'm not sure if they take that into consideration. Thanks for any feedback you can give!!
