ESSEC_ACCT_PHD Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 ESSEC Business School invites academically excellent graduates to apply to the PhD Program in the areas of accounting and auditing.The ESSEC PhD program in accounting and auditing is devoted to training doctoral candidates to conduct research at the highest level on questions dealing with the role of accounting information in an ever changing economic environment. To this end, the program offers interdisciplinary training to equip students with knowledge from various fields of business studies to address a variety of accounting and auditing issues. Faculty advisers in accounting and auditing work in a wide range of topics such as capital markets research, international financial reporting, auditing, social and environmental accounting, disclosure, and organizational and social aspects of accounting, and publish in leading research journals such as Accounting, Organizations and Society, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Contemporary Accounting Research, European Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Management Science, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal, etc. ESSEC offers generous funding that includes total tuition fee waivers and tax-free stipends, currently in excess of 19,000 euros per student per year. The program also finances its doctoral students to attend international conferences and conduct international academic visits.
