Am I competitive for counseling master?

Question

Posted

Hi all,

I just need some honest advice about my situation here. I am a senior and have a 3.656 cumulative Gpa, and a 3.8 for junior and senior year. I have good letters and "I think" a well-written personal statement.

I have several extracurricular activities too but only one is clinical, and have been in lab for one and a half year. BUT I did pretty bad on GRE verbal (around 30%).

I am looking at master program under schools like:

Columbia TC Counseling psychology (No GRE)

NYU counseling for mental health and wellness (No GRE)

Northwestern counseling (No GRE)

U Penn Counseling and Mental Health Service(No GRE)

USC MFT (GRE)

Boston College Mental Health Counseling (GRE)

Pepeprdine Clinical Psy focus on MFT (GRE)

Boston U Mental health counseling (GRE)

Are these schools I am looking at just above my league? Should I start looking at other schools? Any suggestions?
