I'm not a Sociology major but made the mistake of taking a third year sociology course and I'm lost (at least right now). The course is called "identities and society". I have never taken a sociology class before. The professor has absolutely no structure in his course, has been absent since 3 weeks and is still sick.

The final question is "Discuss the systems construction and constraints of identity development."                                                                                                                                                It is just such as weird question because he has sent it per email and has given us absolutely no context. I have no idea what he wants.

Does anyone know what he means by "systems"?

I would be so glad if someone could help! Thank you
