Rescheduling an Interview?

Hi I received two admission interview offers so far, but unfortunately, the interviews are scheduled for the same day. Should I email the school that got back to me later and say that I already agreed to an interview on that day, but I would still like to interview with them? I am afraid of offending the school and I don't want to choose between the two schools this early on.

I had the same problem! I was offered and accepted an interview for the Harvard BPH program weeks before Johns Hopkins MMI offered me an interview, which was the exact same date as Harvard. I was straight forward with Johns Hopkins and said I already committed to the Harvard interview, and JH was super understanding and offered me an alternative date for an interview!

I had this issue, here is what I did: email them both back, thanking them for the offer and mention your interest/excitement in getting to know the department and program better. Say you may have a scheduling conflict that weekend but are working your hardest to resolve it. Ask if they plan to have an alternate interview weekend (many programs do this knowing that the most in-demand applicants will have time conflicts). 3 outcomes:

1. Neither has an alternate weekend. In this case you just pick whichever one you'd rather go to the interview for and ask the other to either set up a skype interview or if you could come on a separate day in-person. 

2. One has an alternate weekend and the other does not 

3. Both have alternate weekends, just pick whichever one you'd rather go to the original date for
