  1. Generally, you need separate GRE & TOEFL accounts. you did the right thing anyway. So chill out and get ready for the application session.
  2. Thanx for your post. I have just accepted the offer from UTSW. I guess I would see you in August. Yes I know its an umbrella program. I am more interested in Immunology but I would do one lab rotation in a cancer biology lab. What is your preferred domain\/
  3. Hii Hemant, I have emailed you the list. I sincerely hope that you won't need it but in case you don't get into Rutgers I hope you would find it useful. best of luck buddy!!!
  4. I have no idea about VCU but I have a feeling that you would better go to IUPUI..but honestly I have not heard anything about VCU..so I am not the ideal person to make that comparision.
  5. incomplete application means you submit the online application, but don't report the GRE/TOEFL scores and not sending the official transcripts. I completed the online applications in all the places but dident send the supporting documents to them. withdrawing application is a pretty common concept. U just have to send emails to program co ordinator stating that i want to withdraw my application from further review or consideration. I welcome your comments but i think it is not right to questions someone's honesty w/o knowing the full story. anyway..best of luck for your grad studies and stay well.
  6. I was accepted in University of Cincinnati pretty early and hence i dident complete the applications in 4 schools. And in UAB birmingham and University of texas Health science center San Antonio my application was never complete because one of my referees had some problem logging into the system and i withdrew my application pretty early after that. I withdrew my application from U arkansas medical sciences 3 days after i applied b'coz i came to know from my friends that Dept of Immunology won't be accepting any international students due to budget cut.
  7. In an ideal world everyone would do their own work w/o relying on others...but i guess it is not possible and that is why we live in a society and we are called social animals. by the way the list was not copied from somewhere and it took me 10 days to prepare the list last June.
  8. Sorry Hemant, I have the list in the hard copy. I thought about typing it in a word file and sending but unfortunately my laptop broke down on saturday. So i am stuck with my 1950s desktop. i will try to send it ASAP. Before i send you the list i think u can start looking in the following places 1. FMI, Switzerland 2. Biozentrum 3. max Planck school of immunobiology 4. Zurich ETH 5. École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Lausanne
  9. I have some idea about the IBMG program at IUPUI because I applied there ( currently wait listed) and I think it is a very good program. I don't know its exact ranking ( would be around 40) but it enjoys a very good reputation in research, especially if you are interested in cancer biology. I really don't know anything about Univ of Tenessee College of Health Science but I do not think it would be better than IUPUI. Also I think Indianapolis would be a better place to live in compared to Memphis. I have few acceptances. Being a International student, I haven't visited the schools and hence it is a difficult decision. I have not made my mind up yet but probably I would be accepting the offer from UT southwestern medical center at Dallas because the biomedical science PhD program is ranked among top ten and it has wonderful faculties ( 5 Nobel laureates among the present faculty members). Also their financial offers are quite amazing.
  10. Well. I think you should get hold of someone from the dept. ( preferably the program co-ordinator) to get the real picture on 1. Whether there are 10 slots available in this time of the year? My common sense says they must have accepted most of their incoming class by now, even though the deadline is still open. 2. The no. of int'l students they are going to accept this year. Only if you get some positive response go for it, otherwise don't waste 50$ in application fee.
  11. Hmm. I have not applied to USC...so can't tell really. Why don't you send a mail to the program co-ordinator?
  12. Well I would mail you the list. I was little busy with work for last few days. But I would try to send it by the end of this week. As for the Albert einstein Coll of med..may be some of the university office staffs are on their Easter holidays....huh?
  13. Hiiii Hemant, Any updates on Rutgers or any other schools?
  14. I think the IBMG program at IUPUI is more highly rated(I applied there and was waitlisted, would go to another school anyway). But regardless of that If yo don't have a specific faculty at kUMC you would like to work with, then my suggestio would be go to Indiana purdue..
  15. Well, I got into UTSW. I had a chat with Stu Ravnik the other day and I got the impression that they will send acceptances to waitlisted candidates only after April 15. He did not say that literally, but that is the idea i got.
