  1. Have you applied/gotten an answer yet?
  2. Hi everyone! I am currently applying to the Sciences Po PSIA-LSE double degree program. I'm a little worried about the differences between applications in the US and applications in France. My main concern is my resume. Does anyone know how I should set it up to be an acceptable French graduate school resume? I emailed the school, but all they told me was to write it in the language of the program (English), which I already knew. Obviously, American-style resumes are different than French-style resumes, so I'm a little lost/don't know what to keep and what to change. Any advice is appreciated!
  3. I was worried about that, but I'll figure something out. A couple of the schools allow you to write an additional essay explaining something that wasn't mentioned in the other application materials. I'm going to an admissions fair in a couple weeks; I'll try to get some more info then!
  4. Hi everyone! I am applying to American's SIS, Denver's Josef Korbel, and Pitt's GSPIA. I plan to pursue the International Development program. I have a BA in International Studies, but for some reason, economics classes were not required for the degree. The program was fairly new and I started the degree at the end of my sophomore year, so I didn't have open spots to take additional classes. I graduated in May and I am applying to start graduate school fall 2012. I want to be as prepared for these programs as possible, so I plan to enroll in Macroeconomics and Microeconomics this spring and/or summer. How do I inform the schools of this? Because Economics is such an important part of these programs, I want the schools to know that I want to and will get experience in the field before potentially enrolling in their program. Also, will the fact that I didn't take these courses during my four years as an undergrad hurt my chances of acceptance at these schools? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Hi everyone! I am getting ready to take the GRE and am pretty nervous about my test-taking abilities. I did well on the last standardized test I took (5 years ago now..yikes!) but applying to graduate school for fall 2012 admission was sort of a last minute decision, so I haven't had much time to study/practice. Anyway, I'm applying to American's SIS, Denver's Josef Korbel, and Pitt's GSPIA and I am worried that my scores will hinder my chances of acceptance to these schools. When I talked with an admissions counselor from GSPIA, she emphasized the fact that, for Pitt, the GRE is an equal factor - it is no more or less important than any other application requirement (GPA, resume, etc). I'm wondering if the same is true for American and/or Denver. Does anyone know the weight of the GRE at these schools? And more generally, if anyone has any study tips, those are welcome as well!
  6. Hi everyone! I am applying to American's SIS, Denver's Josef Korbel, and Pitt's GSPIA (International Development) and I want to do the Masters International program. I know these schools differ in funding, but does anyone know if GA positions are available to MI students at any of these three schools? Also, since MI students benefit from various credit waivers, etc, will their financial aid packages be lacking because of that? I can't find a lot of information about the life of current MI students at these schools, so ANY information is helpful (financial or other)!
