@Business2Biology Are you sure that it is from USC computational biology and bioinformatics your friend heard back? . Or is it from USC PIBBS? Even they have a bioinformatics track.

@timt99 Congrats to you!!! May be I should wait. I got a rejection from UCSD. Didn't hear anything yet from UCI MCSB , UCSC BME and UCD GGG. Had a phone interview @ USC. Didn't hear back from them yet.

@ timt99 did UCR interview you before sending the admit?If they are sending admit before recruitment day what would be happening on 24th Feb?. You have any idea?

@timt99 Ya... I will be going on 24th. But I didn't get any admission letter yet. But only an invite to the recruitment day. Also a call from a prof.

@kgumps2012 Thank you for your reply. Some people have already received an official admit to the same program. That is why I am confused.

@timt99 I got an email from UCR like this 'The admissions committee of the graduate program in Genetics, Genomics and Bioinformatics (GGB) at UC Riverside has reviewed your application. We were very impressed by your qualifications, and we are planning to recommended you to our Graduate Dean for admission.Although this is not an official acceptance to our program yet......'. Few days later I got an invite to their recrutement day. But not yet received an official admit. Does that mean I can get rejected after the recruitment day? I am an international student.
