jgconforti Posted March 9, 2015 Share Posted March 9, 2015 Hi all! I, too, received an offer. I applied for the Coverdell Fellowship for returned Peace Corps volunteers. The department recommended me, so hopefully I'll receive positive news this week. Fingers crossed. If I receive it, I'll accept the offer. I visited the campus this summer and met with Barbara McLay and Judith Goodman. Both were really nice and have been so helpful in helping me to navigate the fellowship application process. She told me that decisions about fellowships should be made early this week. That office will then contact the department who should notify us. Best of luck to all of us! No word yet about the Peace Corps Coverdell Fellowship, but the departmental offer cements the decision. Off to Mizzou this June!!! Like jgconforti, I am a returned Peace Corps volunteer, and the Coverdell fellowship is very attractive. I don't know if I'll be able to visit, so I'd love to hear from current students. It seems like funding was cut, and they're reserving the few remaining fellowships for people in other disciplines (Public Policy and Political Science, I believe). It's really too bad.
