  1. Yes we all had been notified through email that our application status had changed, and logged in to researchnet to check our status. CIHR doesn't send out anything through mail.
  2. Yes, if it's declined they give it to the next person. Were you close to getting it? People who got it have 15 days to respond and either accept or decline. So sometime after that. Not sure how many people decline it though.
  3. Nevermind, found it! Thanks! I did get three years : )
  4. OOh sweet. This is my first year PhD, so I put requested funding of 3 years, BUT the latest expected graduated date I could put in my application was Dec. 2016. It didn't allow me to input anything later. My PhD will probably take until 2017. Just wondering if I'll get 2 years or 3 years of funding from CIHR. Have any idea? I guess I'll figure it out tomorrow when they officially post the funding decisions on their website.
  5. Question for you depressedphdstudent (perhaps not so depressed anymore?). Are you already attending your university or starting in the fall?
  6. That's amazing, congratulations! Hug it out for sure
  7. Thank you! Good luck to everyone else who applied.
  8. For all of you who are waiting, here are the stats: DRA Committee A: 750 applications, 84 approved DRA Committee B: 526 applications, 60 approved
  9. My results just got posted! I got it.
  10. Thought it would be fun to share. What are the best comments or jokes re: grad school or higher education that would look great on a t-shirt?
  11. Hi all, I know that OGS is now at the program level, but any idea when we will hear? I assume it will be after CIHR results come out, but any clue how long after? My departmental deadline was Feb. 15th... Good luck everyone who applied!

I don't really indulge in physical activity in the summer lol. I don't like the heat at all - in fact, I'd be happiest inside most of the summer in the air conditioning. Canoeing is an option though.
  13. Thanks for the suggestions! I think I might do Bay and College, or Queen West/King West/Richmond West, east of Bathurst. Re: clubs/events, I don't know if I'm able to join the clubs since I'm technically not a student. Thanks for the Hart House suggestion - never even heard of it!

Thanks for the suggestions...Hanging out with the classmates isn't a possibility since I won't be taking any courses. I'm not sure about school clubs but am pretty sure I won't be able to join since I won't be a University of Toronto student.
  15. Thanks for the link! Thank you for the thorough response. I've heard the same about Torontonians being pretty cliquey...fun times ahead! I will definitely PM you!
