  1. I got two separate emails saying that I had been admitted into the Unversity at Buffalo for a chemistry PHD both of the emails stated that a detailed email regarding my admission would be coming soon. It has be about a week should I contact someone from the department and ask? I also am waiting to hear back from one more school. They can wait all the way until April to get back to you right? The reason I am so impatient it's that if I attend a different university I have the opportunity to start June first.
  2. I email my prof asking if he would write the letter for me and he gladly agreed. I have an interview scheduled in two weeks. Am I going to be questioned about the letter. I have sent multiple emails and got no response. I have also called and left in message expressing my concerns and nothing. I have graduated from The school and live quite far away so I can not just go to his office
  3. I received an email today inviting me for an interview at University of Nebraska-Lincoln the email contained various question as far as airport and seat preference. This is the first school I have heard anything back from so I am not sure how this process works. Do they book the whole flight? Is this an out of pocket expense, is there usually renburstment or does the school pay for it out right? As far as accomedations would I be staying on campus or do I have to book a hotel?
  4. I have thought about taking it but I'm just afraid that I might not have enough time to study and take the test before deadlines. I'm looking to have a concentration in organic. As far as research I am interested in synthesis of amino acid derivatives. My undergrad research I involved NMR analysis of organic extracts of various breast cancer cell lines.
  5. I had just graduated in May with a 3.29 gpa 3.5 years of research experience. My GRE scores are quite poor of 150 in quantitative and verbal and 4 in the writing. Since graduation I have been working as an AAS analyst at a small environment laboratory. I am looking to apply for chemistry PhD programs for fall 2015. Does anyone have suggestion for a program that someone with with my stats would have a chance of acceptance?
