I'm pretty sure you find out about Western either way at midnight but U of T sends acceptances and wait list emails during the business day, and rejections come in the mail a few days later. I would explain your situation to the other graduate program. I'm sure they'd be willing to give you a few extra days if you need it.

Congrats on the wait list spot I knew two people last year who got in off the wait list, but they didn't find out til mid- and late-May. My sample size is only two, but there's hope nonetheless!

Nothing from UBC yet either I was hoping today would be the day somebody here found out. It's gotta be close though!

I know U of T at least doesn't accept prerequisites that are more than ten years old. You might have to retake a few classes, but you can do that online. Anyone know why they require this? Seems a bit silly to make someone retake a bunch of courses just because they took them ten years ago. Kinda makes it difficult for people trying for a second career who might bring a lot of great experiences to the table.

If I get a choice, as of right now, I'm probably going to decide based on which city I want to live in. This is likely not the best way to go, but I have no idea how I'd even begin to judge which is best for me. I've been lucky enough to visit all the schools I've applied to, and I loved them all/ have no idea which would be the right choice. Looking forward to what others have to say about this!

Got accepted to UAlberta today! I really didn't think there was hope after so many people got in last Tuesday, but people still waiting shouldn't be worried yet Congrats to everyone else who has received an acceptance!

I thought about applying to American schools, but when I was researching them, I made sure to look at the cost breakdowns. Upon seeing them, I promptly gave up on the idea of going to an American school. They could be a great option for some Canadians, but I simply cannot afford it.

Definitely going to try for SLP for few years, but it's just so scary that it might not work out. So many amazing applicants just don't make the cut It's very inspiring to go into threads from past years and see people who've applied year after year and finally made it happen though

What about CDAs? How are their job prospects? Scary to think of back-up plans, but I probably should >.<

It was around this time last year that early acceptances from UBC started going out, and I'm starting to go a bit mad... Anyone heard anything from UBC yet?
