  1. I'm an older, non-traditional student who is currently working on my applications for MS in Anatomy programs. I have two academic letter writers secured, and my former employer is willing to write a letter for me. However, my last job is totally unrelated to my field of study. I worked in IT as a help desk technician, whereas my undergrad degree is in biology and am pursuing graduate study in anatomy. Would this be an acceptable letter that would carry any weight? I worked there for 4 years, and it was a department of government for a major metropolitan city.
  2. Hello, everyone. As you can see from my post count, I am a new member here. I'm beginning the process of applying to different grad schools that offer an MS in Anatomy, and I'm hoping that some of the bright minds on here would be willing to look over my statement and offer constructive criticism. I'm about to finish my BS in Human Biology in the spring, and while I don't have any research experience per se, I have had experience dissecting cadavers and studying gross anatomy for four consecutive semesters. I'm looking at an MS in Anatomy because, well, anatomy is awesome; I also plan to use it as a stepping stone to move onto an MD program. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just what everyone needed, another "please look at my statement" thread.
