Hi, I am currently a grad student at the University of Florida and plan on applying to various universities this fall in hopes of starting my doctoral studies next year. My areas of interest lie in the field of Optimization, Structural & Composite Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials. GPA (grad) – 3.66/4 – University of Florida - Solid mechanics & Design GPA(undergrad) – 8.18/10 – Manipal University, India - Mechatronics GRE – 1350 (800Q + 550V + 3.5AWA) - scores are more than 2 years old Internship experience :- 6 months, siemens, germany - R&D pressure sensor related project. 2 months, siemens india - PLC programming 2 months, ABB india - Study of SCADA systems Research Experience - will get a paper published within a couple of months (May 2012 - present) Extensive matlab programming with abaqus interface. Development of micro-mechanical models for fiber reinforced composites. Construction of non-linear response surfaces to predict the elastic properties of composites. Various In-class projects involving matlab programming and analysis of structures..
