  1. Congrats, cleverfool! Who contacted you for the IPiB interview invite? Was it a POI or the program chair?
  2. I shouldn't probably have shouted out so loudly that I didn't get any rejections so far! UCSF Tetrad Application Status: DENIED! :-( Well, they said they accept 2 international students out of approx. 100 international applicants. This would habe been like winning the lottery jackpot anyway.
  3. Congrats, impatient7! I hope to hear back soon as well. Since I am an international applicant, I was mostly wondering whether the person who posted on the results page was domestic or international. I guess for most programs, we international will hear back later compared to you guys...At least I didn't get any rejections so far!
  4. Looks like somebody got an interview from UMassMed Worcester BBS. It doesn't say if the person is American or international, though. If you are lurking around here, could you please share your stats?
  5. Haha, flat_rhino! I would be dead drunk at the end of the day :-D. I hope that the two of us will hear back from UW-Madison soon but according to the results page they were also pretty late last year.
  6. Happy New Year everyone! @Jubilee: Which program did you apply to at UW-Madison?
  7. According to their facebook page the IBMG program at the Indiana University Medical School already sent out some status updates and will be sending out another 50 by the end of this week. Anyone heard anything yet?
  8. Congratulations, Pyridoxal_phos! Could you maybe post your stats, if you don't mind? Then we could estimate how our chances of getting interview offers from UPenn are ;-)
  9. Anyone else except balissar heard back from UPenn-CAMB yet?
  10. Which country are you from, cherub? Do you maybe know whether graduate schools might have preferences regarding the citizenship of international applicants? Do they prefer one country over the other? They probably would never officially state something like that but is there maybe a tendency?
  11. It seems we have a rockstar applicant among us. Apparently, somebody already got interview offers from both UPenn (CAMB) and UNC-Chapel Hill (BBSP)...
  12. Is the subject test required for your program or only recommended? In the latter case you should not worry too much, since the subject GRE is then probably the least important part of your application.
  13. I am a bit worried. When you look at the admission requirements for the Biomedical Gateway Program at the Indiana University of Indiana School of Medicine (http://grad.medicine.iu.edu/degree-programs/ibmg/admission-requirements/), you find that the average GRE scores of accepted international applicants are a lot (!) higher compared to average scores for admitted domestic applicants. This at least holds true for both the quantitative and the verbal score. So apparently, as an international applicant you have to score comparably high in the GRE to get admitted to some programs, regardless of being a native speaker of English or not...
  14. Could you maybe send a scan of the score report you received on paper? Or does this one also include scores you do not want to submit?
  15. You might wanna post this in the respective thread in the Life Sciences forum.
  16. Thanks for sharing this, @midnight streetlight!
  17. Hey all, I was wondering whether any of last year's applicants had experience with the informal credentials review provided by the IBMG program for Ph.D. study at IUPUI. While I think that it's a really nice service, I wonder how reliable it is. So was anybody here encouraged to apply after the review and still did not get accepted? Or was anyone told it would not make any sense to apply, refused to rely on this answer and got admitted in the end? Looking forward to your replies!
