  1. Has anyone heard from ECE UofT or ECE McGill?
  2. Did anyone here apply to McGill ECE for fall 2013. Has the person heard anything? Did anyone apply to Toronto for same program and same start date? Anything from them?
  3. You are very lucky. You must be an excellent student. 2 offers and yet some of us have not even heard anything. I am so jealous
  4. I am an international student and I applied to UofT(status: application received), SFU (application received) & McGill (ready for review). No word yet from any of them. I heard that for Canada, your admission is at the discretion of any individual prof; basically, if someone wants to take you, you're in. While most big American schools have an admission board that judges candidates objectively. Before applying, I wrote to some profs in these schools to establish some relationship so that my app wouldn't just be like one other app in the pile. Got a response from some of them. Fingers are still crossed though I am so tensed and can't help checking my mail many times a day
  5. I am an international student applying for MSc (Electrical & Computer Engineering) in McGill University. There is a form that one has to download. This is the prompt in the form 1. Academic Profile: Describe your academic profile, insisting on particular achievements, and any relevant scholarships/awards. 2. Research Experience. Describe any relevant research experience, including publications that could have resulted from your work. 3. Additional Information. Describe any other relevant information, including e.g., teaching experience, leadership positions, special circumstances, etc. I am bit confused about this academic profile part. I am used to writing SOP where I just combine all of the above into 1 piece. It's been quite difficult for me to separate them. Pls could someone give me ideas on how I can go about writing all these
