  1. Depressed about all the exam results! Kind of embarrassing......
  2. Thank you very much for your suggestion. There is one thing I can be sure about: I can't get a 5.0 if I retake GRE. Thanks!
  3. Thank you so much for your advice. Fortunately, the statistics program doesn't require a writing sample. The only thing I concern about is the average GRE writing score for top 20 universities is 4.0. Anyway, I gonna sent some emails to figure out. Thank you!
  4. I checked online this morning and found out my writing score is only 3.5. Verbal section is 159, and Quantitative section is 169. i plan to apply for graduate program in statistics Do you think my writing score is adequate? I'm very confused about whether or not I need to retake.
  5. I plan to apply for the master's program. I've been worrying about my mathematical background, because there are many math requirements on most top programs. I'm afraid I won't be qualified.
  6. Hey, everyone. I plan to apply for the graduate program in statistics in Fall 2013. However, I've encountered several questions. My undergraduate study is Accounting, and I haven't taken many mathematical courses. I just took calculus, linear algebra, introduction to statistical methods. I nearly finished a semester work of probability, and complex analysis; however, they don't show on my transcript. My undergraduate GPA is around 3.7. And my GRE is 159+169. No TOEFL required. My question is: is there any possibility that I could get admitted into top 50 school without an adequate mathematical background? Do you have any suggestions about which kind of schools I should apply for? Thank you all!
