  1. I have offers from TAMU and Purdue (both Stat PhD). Both departments seem seem to have a lot of diversity in research. I am really confused now. Any suggestions ??? Thanks in advance.
  2. I believe they are done making offers unless someone decides not to accept. If anybody with an offer from this place decides not to go then please do turn it down as soon as you can!
  3. I am waiting too. Haven't heard anything. I called them last week and they say its under review.
  4. Schools like TAMU dont send out rejections before May. I heard Purdue takes a long time as well.
  5. Hi All, Can anybody comment on Cornell's stat department ? Its certainly one of the top univs in the country but its name doesn't seem to come up quite often when it comes to statistics. Does anybody have anything to share about the graduate program(Phd or MS/Phd) at Cornell, the admission rates etc... ?
  6. Hi, I am an international applicant who is interested in applying to the Stat Phd programme at Ohio State(Fall 2013). The departmental minimum on the TOEFL happens to be 100 but there is a mention in their webpage that they look for candidates with scores much higher than this minimum while making financial aid offers. I have a 101 and does this mean that I will not stand a chance for financial support even if I am admitted ? They have also mentioned that the average over the GRE Verbal and Quant percentiles is more than 75 for most successful applicants. My average over the GRE quant and verbal percentiles falls a bit short of 75(~73 and this was mainly because of my verbal score -152). Given that my application looks pretty ok on all other aspects like grades,LOR's etc..., how badly can these scores(GRE/TOEFL) affect my chances ?
