  1. Wow, thank you for sharing your experience. I had a similar experience where I was unable to sleep before my test date. I am unsure if it was a matter of anxiety or stress, but for the life of me, I could not fall asleep. I laid on the bed for hours and could not sleep. Now, my solution is to go for a run the night before so that I can make sure that I am exhausted to the point where my body has no choice but to fall asleep. You live and you learn I suppose. I notice you cited test time as having a potential impact on your performance. That's interesting. I wonder if others feel the same. By the way, you did an excellent job on your second attempt. Often it is not about the mistakes we make but the steps we take to amend them. Again, thank you for sharing and I hope more people are able to share their experiences.
  2. Hello, Everyone: Can anyone share his or her second experience with the revised GRE? Were you nervous? Were you more relaxed? Did you find the content of the test second time around comparable to your first time? Did you improve your weak areas? Please share. Thanks in advance. On a side note, I'd like to know how often, if at all, does ETS update the test it provides on PowerPrep? I'm asking as I wonder if prospective second time test takers retake the same PowerPrep or opt for other "new" material elsewhere -- I suppose the latter, but I wonder if the PP test updates with new questions over a period of time. Thanks.
  3. Pardon if this question has been posed before. However, I'd really appreciate some direction as to where I can find the solutions to the second practice test on PowerPrep, verbal and math, preferably the math section. Video solutions or a link to a forum. (I tried to find it on Magoosh to no avail.) :-( Let's hope math will not be my undoing. Please help, lol. I'm testing soon.
  4. Thank you for responding to my inquiry. Every little bit of insight helps. I consider math to be my tenous area, particular under timed conditions. As have I a tendency to have "aha" moments after staring at the problem for a few moments which can seem like an eternity or outright too long. I will heed you advice. Again thank you for taking the time. Have a pleasant day.
  5. Sorry to learn about your experience and thank you for sharing. I am curious; was the math markedly harder than the examples and practice tests provided by ETS or was it comparable? With respect to the verbal section, did you find a plethora of difficult words, especially on the second verbal considering you did really well on verbal. Thank you in advance for any insight you may offer.
