  1. Programs Applied to: UT Austin-LBJ (MGPS), Texas A&M-Bush (MPIA), UK-Patterson (M.A.) Awaiting Reply from: ALL Undergrad: Top 10 Public (UC) Undergrad GPA: 3.1 Undergrad Major(s): History and Political Science Law School: Low Tier Law School GPA: 2.6 GRE Verbal: 161 GRE Quant.: 156 GRE AW: 5.0 Age: 30 Language(s): 5+ years of Spanish. Years of Work Experience: 5 since law school Relevant Work Experince: Internship with UN in Africa (Rwanda), Deputy D.A. and current Deputy A.G. with significant prosecutorial and litigation experience in state and federal court. Strength of SOP: Strong. Strength of LORs: Strong, albeit all work-related. Concern(s): Whether practical public sector work experience and solid GRE scores will trump low undergrad GPA and even lower law school GPA? My thoughts: passing the bar exam on the first attempt and thereafter gaining coveted work experience in the public sector should place numerical indicators in perspective.
