Has anyone heard about CIHR? I know results are suppose come out today, but darn it, it is Canada Day! (BTW-Happy Canada Day everyone!)

I need to hear about SSHRC NOW! I appreciate that it must be stressful for all of you frequently checking your mail to find only PizzaPizza coupons. I am in a much worse situation. I am in Europe with infrequent internet access for the next 6 weeks. I planned to begin this trip at the end of April, because I was supposed to know about SSHRC and grad school by now. Unfortunately, however, I have accepted a grad school offer but have no idea whether I can actually pay for that school when I get there. To make things worse, I get up and check my email for absolutely no reason, because when it's 9am here, it's the middle of the night in Canada! That's how you know you're in trouble, when you start looking for news just incase something was sent in the middle of the night........

Thanks! This allows me to pretend that my lack of success in OGS is actually an indicator of success in SSHRC! Unfortunately, I have to leave for a seven week course in Germany beginning Friday. If SSHRC has not notified me by then, I'll be a nervous wreck for my trip.

No, my online status still says it will be updated on the 14th of April. Maybe they operate on a different calendar, but for us Gregorian calendar folks, it was the 14th a few days ago.

Yes, the graduate co-oridinator from my faculty emailed me this morning. I am assuming that OGS notified schools today. I am close friends with my graduate coordinator, so I think I found out a bit before most people, I anticipate the 'official' notification tomorrow. I find it very bizarre that I did not receive the OGS but I (apparently) have a very good chance of getting the SSHRC. Does anyone know if SSHRC knows about the results of OGS and if this can effect the results of SSHRC? Also, I had a friend who claims that he would have received a SSHRC but did not because he accepted an offer of admission from a school other than the one he specified in his SSHRC application... can anyone verify that this is how it works?

OGS has been sent out today. I was just notified by my school that I did not get it!! I was blown away. But I was sent out on the 'A' list for SSHRC so I hope I get that! Any ideas when we might hear about SSHRC?
