dazedandconfused- As someone who's been teaching at a community college for a few years, I can say that Faculty are hired for their teaching experience (not their degree). Though it is true that many applicants have their PhD's, they often are not offered a position. The reason for this is their lack of teaching experience or their mediocre performance as a teacher. Current or ex high school teachers who have their masters (MS, MA, MEd, etc) typically get the positions. I would recommend working towards your masters part-time. There are even online programs that would allow you to forego relocating (Clemson and Lehigh have programs like this). Once you earn the degree, start teaching as an adjunct as soon as possible. Some people are able to land adjunct positions without a masters and build up their teaching portfolio early... You should start sending out cover letters and resumes to local schools now- The worst they can say is "no." Best of luck!

Is 810 even a real score? I thought subject tests are score in 20pt intervals... Any way- The percentile table can be found at the link below: http://www.ets.org/s/gre/pdf/gre_guide_table2.pdf An 810 would fall between the 81st and 86th percentile, for the Comp Sci exam.

Whatever you do, do NOT mix the scores. That could void your application entirely.

I agree- Having a score in the 90+% range is a serious benefit to you. Just try to shed light on other parts of your apps that could indicate your analytical abilities... Do you have a thesis in which you performed any data analysis?

Ummmm... Fun activity? Do you actually not have enough content to fill the last class meeting?

I believe what midnight streetlight was implying was that you'll be able to see your percentile rank for each of the three sections, relative to other who sat for the exam. There is not, however, any within-section breakdown. Some of the subject tests give you a higher resolution breakdown- I just took the Biology Subject Test, and I was informed of my total score/percentile and my score/percentile for each of the three major domains of biology (cell/molecular, organismal, and eco/evo). Also- I would CERTAINLY recommend retaking the exam. Your scores indicate that 60% of the people who took the exam did better than you did in the Verbal section and that 89% did better than you on the Quant section... Study and retake.
