Hi Guys, Does anyone know how reputable is Auburn University's Materials Engineering program? and generally how good is this university in terms of education and reputation of engineering school? I saw that the engineering school ranks among top 70 of grad schools in US News. I would appreciate to have your comments. Thanks!

oh man come on..knowing is better...it is better than fruitless hope! and in addition when there is a decision at least you know that they have considered your application, but when there is nothing you may wonder if you are even in their short list.

Yes it is the exact reason that makes me nervous! what is happening to this year's Materials admissions? I mean even very low ranked schools give admission to international students very hard...and of course late...

I am totally losing my mind..Still no news from about 5 schools and I don't know if it is a good news or a bad news!!. all of them are still under review!!....I have seen some people have posted some rejection from some of these schools in the result section, does this mean that I may have a chance to be accepted to them? Please, I will be glad to know your opinion about my case if you had experienced this situation...Isn't it late yet? Thanks guys.

Its OK. Congratulations on your Northwestern admission. I have some academic status near you but I am international...and still look forward to universities like Northwestern and other ones mentioned. Anyway, wish you all the best.

Yes, 10 times a day I am checking both my online application status and results page...just one from Boston and one from Brown... By the way, may I ask you about your GPA (MS and BS) and GRE scores? I am interested in them because it seems that you have been accepted to Northwestern, Cornell and Georgia Tech, When did you received Northwestern result? Are you an International student? and finally did you have any contacts with professors or you just applied?

Any news from Brown, Boston University, U of Washington, or Drexel? My application status is "submitted" to all of these schools and haven't heard anything from them yet...I am just getting a little bit nervous. is no news a good sign or a bad one?

Here are my academic status: UG GPA: 2.7 / 4 (From an especially accredited University world wide, top in my country) Graduate GPA (Master): 3.82 / 4 (From an especially accredited University world wide, top in my country) TOEFL iBT: 92 GRE ------ Verbal: 147 ------ Quantitative: 165 ------ AW: 3.0 Papers: 3 Well-known International Conferences (No ISI) Planning to apply for Northwestern, Brown, U of Florida, Boston University, UC Irvine, Northeastern. I wanted to know what are my chances...Could anyone suggest on my case? I will be pleased to have your comments. Thank you guys.
