Hi! I'll be at IU, too. I found an apt/roommate on craigslist and I'm quite excited. It's in walking/biking/bus-taking distance. Not close to the noise and in an area I generally like (spent last summer in Bloomington). My roommate and I have a ton in common. It's just enough room for me. Hopefully, I'll be moving June 1. I'm so happy. The program is a dream for me, an absolutely perfect fit. (Also - after living in NY/NJ for 30 years the rent is amazingly affordable.)

Although I'm definitely 100% going to Indiana, I still haven't heard back from Pitt's Slavic Lang & Lit program. At what point do I ask what's up? I applied, so I'd like a decision even though it's a terrible fit and I'm definitely not going.

Other than Russian, I mean to study the Western Slavic group. I'm a heritage Polish speaker with a Slovak father. And I'd like to learn Czech also. I'm starting to get antsy. k

So.... who heard from Indiana? Tell us all about it. Did you check out petersons.com for stats, cml? I can feel the news is on its way. Will I have a future? I don't know. k

Exactly. Not sure why I had to look at these statistics either. I really think I'll hear from Indiana this week or next week. So... in a matter of days, my future will be decided. I can't handle it!

My only response so far is an Illinois waitlist. What if that's the best I can do? Without any other news, I'm more sad than anxious. K
