  1. I would still do it. In my opinion, things are still up in the air until I get acceptances.
  2. If it is your top choice, I would go for it!
  3. That's awesome, mrmolbio! Are they paying for a hotel/letting you stay with a current student?
  4. Yup, I was referring to that box on the top right of the Grad program page. Congrats again and good luck with your interviews!
  5. It says on their application website that they are doing the whole interview process this year, so I wouldn't be nervous about it!
  6. Congrats, Jules! Did they email or call to notify you?
  7. I originally thought CSHL had blown me off because I could not attend either interview weekend, but after talking to the recruitment coordinator today on the phone, she said the adcom was trying to organize a third weekend for students with conflicts. Have you tried contacting UW-Madison to ask them for a personal date/another group weekend? Some schools might be more accomodating than others.
  8. Most planes have a coat rack that you can ask the flight attendants to hang your suit bag in, no problem.
  9. Safe travels to everyone heading to The City today for GSK! Sitting at the gate, brimming with excitement and nerves. Aaahhh!
  10. On the topic of interviews: I am taking a warm suit for the interview day and two business casual outfits (slacks/khakis, a sports coat, button down w/ tie/bow tie option) for the reception dinner and last day breakfast. Being well dressed does not necessarily mean over-dressed, methinks.
  11. Sloan-Kettering for me this week! They're taking us to see Avenue Q!
  12. Thanks, bassish! I'm going to all of them as of now. CSHL hasn't gotten back to me about the conflict, and I'm considering dropping JHU. How's it looking for you?

  15. CSHL Watson School interview offer! The dates are Jan 30-Feb 3. Already a bunch of conflicts during that weekend (UCSF Tetrad/UCBerkeley MCB, Harvard MCB, CSHL).
  16. Thanks for the congrats, mysinia! I don't know whether Harvard MCB only does one round of invites. If you email them you can probably get a more definitive answer .
  17. Harvard MCB Interview! Dates are Jan 30 to Feb 2. They conflict with my already booked Berkeley interview dates!
  18. I have no idea if MIT Biology is still sending out invites. Ack.
  19. @flat_rhino: My labmates would already be carting me off to the hospital (conveniently right next door!) if I played that game right now.
