  1. Yeah, I'm now convinced this is an automated email. Oh, well, there goes my excitement! Good luck to you all.
  2. Out of curiosity, what campus did you guys apply to? Twin Cities?
  3. Thanks! I'm going to let myself get a little bit hopeful about this. Good luck to you!
  4. I recently applied to U Minn's Child Psychology program. Part of the application, the personal statement, can also double as a "diversity statement", which, if I'm understanding correctly, is also considered for a diversity fellowship. The award is fantastic (includes a stipend, tuition and subsidized health insurance), so obviously I wrote my statement with it in mind. About 3 days after I received a notice from the department saying all the components of my application were received, I got an email from the Office for Diversity in Graduate Education (ODGE) saying they'd like to inform me of programs that are available for graduate students on their campus, and saying that their mission is to coordinate and to lead the University's initiatives in the area of recruitment, funding, retention, and graduation of a diverse student body. Has anyone else applying to U Minn received an email from the ODGE? I'm wondering if this is a standard email they send out to all applicants, or if I have good reason to be hopeful about my chances of getting in?? I'm so anxious about all of this waiting, I feel like I need some outside perspective here. Thanks for your input, and happy holidays to all of you out there who are going nuts, too!
