totally throwing off the timing but.......OFFICIALLY A FULBRIGHTER TO AUSTRIA!!!!! got the e-mail at 10:30am EST from the program coordinater of Austrian-American Educational Commission.

but isn't it the coolest? As far as I know it is the only country that offers part time study/part time ETA -which couldn't have been more perfect for me and in a German speaking country - a dream come true. I am hoping to studying linguistics at Universität Wien and then most likely fall into a linguistics or german graduate program back in the US (if I would ever come back ha). Have you visited the university or Vienna before? I was just there this summer and absolutely fell in love with it! Good Luck! I feel like we should hear soon.......!

ACCEPTED TO AUSTRIA- study grant/eta combo! Couldnt have been happier when I found out and wish I could have posted right away! Just go to read through all the news, so happy for all of you also moving on and sorry to the hear bad news as well but good luck to everyone in what you do next! Any ideas when the numbers for how many people got 'recommended' in each country are released?--if they do that at all?

Just recieved a response from my FPA saying "they've told us that they are sending notifications today and tomorrow." Sounds like from the forum that grant applicants will be the ones hearing first but too all GOOD LUCK!

Its been great having this forum to keep up with! Just curious if there are any other Austria combination study grant/ETA applicants out there? Its such a unique program there's not a lot of info out on it- I am guessing we will hear back along with full grantees rather than the ETAs? Sooner the better hopefully!
