The prospects for Univ teaching positions is terrible. Even for Phds. I'd get the secondary certification. You'll enjoy being a equal among high school teachers and won't enjoy being an adjunct. NJW is correct that even if you do get a job, it's likely to be at Lowtomiddle State University a thousand miles from home. -
Ms D, only 3 schools? I take it you want to stay in the area. I applied to 11 and wondered if that was enough.

@laura_b Glad you started this. Obviously we're all interested in who heard what. Are you a member of the Facebook MFA Draft 13 group? It appears to be an offshoot of the PW/Creative Writing Blog, which doesn't seem to be all that active now. I applied to UT Michener Texas State LSU Mississippi Vanderbilt Virginia Iowa Florida Arizona and the Sewanee summer program just in case. How about you? PS Why does yours say caffeinated and mine says decaf?
