Ok, I'm applying to a top tier IR school for security studies. Many of the other applicants will be Ivy League, or military officers that have been taped for great things. I'm coming from humbler places but have a strong GPA, and excellent GRE scores. Basically my SoP admits I am not the archetypical applicant and argues that my unique perspective can strengthen the field. Right now my instinct says to end it with a quote/maxim which will be universally recognized daring the board to admit me. Is this the dumbest idea I've ever had?
