  1. If you are worried, you should ask the department about their funding process. Since you are already a student at Ohio State ( I assume this is the program for which the question is based), just send a brief email to one of your profs/ one of the people you had write your letters of rec and ask. I assume that most professors in the stats department will know the process. You can also send an email to the DGS.
  2. If it is bothering you as bad as it seems to be, then you should call them. I don't think there is any harm in asking, but the site does say they won't finish making decisions until the end of February/beginning of March. Saying that, if you do contact them, let me know what they say.
