Did he by any chance mention the likelihood of getting funding by any chance?

I contacted the graduate director directly. It seems like last year(s) they admitted more students and wait listed them for funding. It seems like this year they are only admitting students they have funding for.

Wait listed at Northeastern and Loyola, rejected from BU and Brandeis.....rough week for me.

Blah, I emailed the program coordinator instead of the grad director accidentally. I got a "your application is under review by the department right now, you should know in a couple weeks." Aka rejected. I really wish I'd emailed the grad director so I could have just gotten a definitive answer. I feel like I can't now though since I contacted the program coordinator.

I applied. I hadn't heard anything from them but I assumed I wouldn't till March based on the results page from previous year. Thanks for the info about the adcom meeting! I haven't heard from any schools since I got a couple acceptances three weeks ago and it's been driving me nuttttts.

I'm not from your discipline and have only heard back from 2 schools, but they were both fully funded acceptances and I had typos (small ones..one was actually an extra the) on both applications. I'm sure if everything else is strong, you'll be fine with a minor error.

So how obnoxious is it /when is it ok to email the BU department administrator (not grad director) asking when they generally expect acceptances to go out?

Someone was waitlisted for BU today? That makes me so nervous. Has anyone else heard from them?

I noticed my application status changed to accepted on Tuesday and I finally couldn't take it anymore and emailed the grad director on Friday. He said they're still trying to figure out the funding situation and will then get back with more information.

I talked to the director today and he said it was totally fine for me to miss the last day. Phew!

You have to click on 2013 fall and then it will bring you the page with your status. I heard/read they only took 3 PhD students last year and 2 the year before...which is why I know I won't get in haha.

I checked my temple application and it now says "decision made" and university acceptance under that but they haven't contacted me. It just said complete yesterday morning. I keep thinking it's somehow a mistake! I applied to Brandeis but I don't expect to hear back from them for a while and I'm 99.9999% positive it will be a rejection anyways.
