  1. Oh my goodness! That's fantastic! It's really nice to see good news on this forum after the last several days of speculation and anxiety. Do us a favor and eat something really delicious on their tab!!!! Don't be intimidated either! I hope you get in and do marvelous things for students and teachers around the world, 2BHarvardedld!!!!
  2. I saw it too. Appears that they got the email on Feb. 11th, which was the Monday after the big snow storm. Congratulations to whoever you are!
  3. The Masters programs looked really interesting, but I didn't apply this year. I figured that if I don't get in, I can take some time to work and save up for a program like that because it is pretty pricey for one year (I'm Canadian, so the costs seem absolutely exorbitant compared to what we pay for post-secondary education here). I would love to know what people are doing after completing degrees from HGSE, particularly with non profit organizations etc. Any of you know alumni? Perhaps this will allow us to take our minds off anxiety. Haha.
  4. So absolutely true! Thanks for that! :-) Either I'll get to pull an 'Elle Woods' and quote some lines from Legally Blonde (granted she got into law school and this is sort of different), or I'll just laugh it off and move on from there.
  5. Hahaha. Thanks for that! It's actually funny because I knew that they only take 25 students, but I guess some kind of wishful thinking had me reaching for 50. Oh man...every time I think about the fact that I even applied to this program, I kind of burst out into an awkward nervous laughter. Well, you miss 100% shots you don't take, right? Good luck all and thanks for sticking through it as a virtual group. Here's to finding out whenever we find out.
  6. The program takes 50 students, any idea how many they'll interview? Did any of you apply to be considered for the Ed. M program as well? To be honest, the virtual sessions scared me a bit because the current students they profiled were SO HIGHLY ACCOMPLISHED. I get the focus of the program and that it would be best to take people who already have a good network within the field, but wow, the bar is set really, really high. Do any of you know people who are currently in the program?
  7. What's VS? I'm a bit lost.
  8. Hey All! Good to know that there are so many of us interested making a positive change in the world of education! I'm waiting to hear back about my application, though I'm prepared for it to go either way. I know the program is created for people working in the 'American K-12' education sector, but I still gave it a shot as a Canadian. Do you know if we hear back from HGSE either way? Good luck!
