Hi Everyone, Congrats to all of you who were accepted to MA and PhD programs! Unfortunately I struck out this year, but definitely made the mistake of shooting too high, applying only to a few very top PhD programs, and not putting enough time or thought into my application materials. Anyway, if any of you successful admittees have sage advice about strategies for strengthening my application for next year (never too soon to get started on that), please please do message me. Good luck everyone making your decisions!

congrats on madison! i too am one of berkeley's rejects.. i'm hoping against hope that brown looks more kindly upon my application.

woops, my bad. i misinterpreted your comment: "It looks like U. Rochester, Brown, Stanford (Modern Thought & Lit) are in the timeframe for notifying" you mean we should be hearing from them imminently? i had thought you meant that they notified around when expected. phew! now i can go form bitter resolve back to anxious anticipation..

Has anyone heard from Brown or Harvard yet?

I know! Good or bad news, I will be relieved when I no longer feel the need to refresh my email and check my voicemail every 3 seconds just in case there's news... #losingmymind

Has anyone received word yet from any of the following programs? Brown MCM Berkeley Film UChicago CMS Harvard FVS I know they're the cream of the crop for media theory folk, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that just one will pan out!
