True to their word I got an acceptance email today! Very exciting! Good luck to everyone!

Mine says the same thing- but I got an email the other day saying I would receive a final decision "soon". It said by 3/25 or sooner. Still waiting. I interviewed 3/8. Did anyone else get a similar email?

My letter has the same info and also states that scholarship info will be emailed in the next two weeks. That is key for me- otherwise my scholarship to NYU is too good to pass up! Congrats!!

I got an email back in December stating that they typically send out decisions in early March. I also completed my FAFSA last week since they emailed requesting that we do so by Feb 15th.

It took me 8 weeks to receive an acceptance from NYU with a scholarship- I think my app may have been mixed up somewhere because I heard about 10 or 11 days after calling to inquire since they say it's usually a 4-6 week waiting period. (So it was quick after I called.) I haven't heard from Columbia yet, though I haven't expected to because they sent an email back in December I think saying they typically send out decision letters in early March. You may want to call NYU to check on your app.

Status just changed to "Pending Interview" at Hunter...app submitted 12/18 and complete as of 1/3...I have to let NYU know by the first week of March and haven't heard from Columbia yet...nonetheless very excited to interview at Hunter!

Hey al123, I accidentally quoted someone else and replied to your question. I was notified on my application page, but have not yet received an email. When I checked my application page today my status had been changed and it stated that a decision had been made. I was able to view my acceptance letter which included the scholarship info.

I have been checking my email and also my application page. Some folks on here said they got an email telling them to check their page, so I was sort of expecting an email, but I would check my page once or twice a day just in case- and I'm glad I did because I still haven't gotten an email. However, earlier today when I checked my application page, it stated that a decision had been made and I was able to view my acceptance letter! Have you been checking your page periodically?

Got into NYU!!! For anyone who is worried or losing hope because it's been a while, my application was complete as of 11/23 and my status only changed to "under review " after I called them 11 days ago. So it took quite a while. I got a $15,000 scholarship and I have 4 weeks to reserve my spot. NYU is my top choice....SO excited! Good luck to everyone!

Just looked back at my page- my application has been complete for about 8 weeks but the status changed to under review 1 week ago. I'm not sure what to think...

Thanks...I hope I hear soon. I am hopeful that I will be accepted, but am getting more nervous by the day!

Hi Everyone...I've been looking at posts on here for the past couple weeks and finally decided to post with a couple questions. I am eagerly awaiting word from the schools I've applied to, especially NYU. I submitted in late November and my application became complete in mid-December. After seeing that many people on here have heard from NYU, I called last week to inquire as to whether my app was under review. (It stated that it was complete on my page, but not that it was under review.) The woman I spoke to explained that my app was not yet under review. The next day, the status in fact changed to under review. Does anyone know about how long it takes after the status changes to under review? Is it 4-6 weeks from that point? Also, does anyone know if NYU typically sends acceptances before rejections?
