After three long years of applying I was finally accepted to the University of New Mexico! Don't give up, I didn't and look where I am now and it feels beyond amazing knowing how hard I had to fight for this dream of becoming an SLP!! Yay!! Good luck to all of you still waiting to hear! Have a dart board with all the applicants pictures I exported from Facebook taped to all parts. With an evil laugh, I will throw a dart and at the face/ faces it lands on.. Well those will be the rejected, yes 4.0's and all... but not right away!! I will wait 2 months after the deadline no three months! Hold on.... is this is what I would do or what I think they actually do? Lol

I know you will for sure hear from UNM next week. Typically letters are received by mail by the 13th!

Texas state won't reject anyone until the class is full. I called yesterday and they have already sent out all of their first round of acceptances. If someone declines they send a letter to the next person on a ranked list.

Hi! I have also applied to NAU but for the summer program, being a current student do you know how many people apply for the summer program? Is it a lot? And do you know when we will start to hear news? I am also so anxious!! Thanks!

I was also wait listed and that my friend is the question we would all like to ask. It depends how many people decline, how many they have put on the wait list and where we are each placed on the waitlist -and unfortunately that is information they will likely not give us /:

I saw that, and wasn't aware of this either! I have not received an interview notice either but I called graduate admissions and the person I spoke with said most everyone will be notified to have an interview and that they will be holding interviews until March 31st.. Honestly I was still sort of confused after talking to him..

@scsil006 They left me a message today but I was in class so I have to schedule it tomorrow! Don't freak out I have had one before and it is very casual and it goes so fast. They are very nice and don't ask you anything that you wouldn't know the answer to! You should be excited it means we made it to the top 70! Or at least that's what I was told the year prior. I guess it depends how many applicants they had. Anyway congrats and best of luck!

Interview for The University Of New Mexico! So happy to have at least gotten an interview. After being a non-degree and experiencing the program first hand, I have to admit, I would love to be apart of this program. There are so many reasons why. Fingers crossed xx wishing you all luck!

I think your scores look great! This site is intimidating and what I have learned is that you can't compare yourself to anyone, yes we are in a sense competing but worrying about your scores compared to the ones on here will do you no good! I know several people that have gotten into schools with low gre scores and 2.7-3.0 gpa It all depends on what that school is looking for.. I have a friend who was rejected with a. 4.2! Just put those apps in and flood your mind with positive thoughts!! Good luck, you will be fine!!! " worrying is like a rocking chair, it will get you nowhere"

3rd time applying!! Agh! 2 years as an apprentice, bilingual multicultural literacy camps, early intervention in the home, 4.0 non-degree graduate degree, 3.78 SHS major, 3.4 overall. GRE sucks .... I guess we will see if this year it will happen or if I need to accept that I have done my best but I have to move on..

I am really hoping the 3rd time is my charm as it my third time applying as well! Agh! Here we go all over again. Wishing us both luck!

Vent: I have to apply a third time! (sobbing) this is so disappointing. Ok done, now moving forward... Positive note: Another year to gain ever more experience within the field. Opportunity to save more money for grad school. Opportunity to strengthen my application that could possibly appeal to even more schools: dream schools. When it finally does happen, it will be the best day, knowing how hard I had to fight for it. Once I am in, you bet your a** I am not going to take the opportunity for granted. Once I am in, I have a feeling that It will be the place I was meant to be in all along.
