  1. Congratulations, Zinny!!! Good for you for going back to school. It's never too late to do what you love!! I am several years younger than you and will not give up, even if I don't get in this year.
  2. Congratulations!!! I am hoping for the same wonderful news! Was this your 3rd year applying? If so, what did you do differently that helped you this time around (I'm asking b/c I'm thinking of plan B, C, and D if I don't get in this year!!! So frustrating!!!)
  3. Congratulations!!! I also applied to Adelphi and am now anxiously awaiting to hear back from them. Do you remember when you sent your application?
  4. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything!
  5. Hey Hopeful! Anything from Hofstra or Adelphi yet? This is such torture! I was looking at admission results from last year and seems like some people were getting responses around this time to mid march!!!
  6. I could not agree more with these statements!!!
  7. I kind of wish I applied to more schools now! All I want is that one acceptance as well!!! I hate living on pins and needles waiting...ahh!!
  8. Don't let that get you down!!! You have great stats and you also applied to many others! When one door closes, another opens
  9. Hey Hopefull! I applied to their Garden City campus. I went to their Grad Open House and I could have swore I heard there that even if you apply to the Garden City campus, you may get accepted to the Manhattan program. I could be wrong though since I went to ALOT of grad open houses! I wouldn't mind being accepted to either program!! I noticed you have the certificate in Autism Disorders. I saw a program like that at Brooklyn College, I was thinking of going for it, do you think it's worth it?
  10. hopefulslp88, Thanks for the info I applied to Adelphi, Post, Hofstra........the suspense is killing me!!
  11. This thread is super helpful, thanks to all!!
  12. Hopefulslp88, Hey! If you don't mind me asking, how were you able to find the undegrad speech volunteer program where you completed 100 hours of observation? That sounds like an amazing opportunity and something that I am interested in! I am also applying to grad school but feel a bit pesimistic because of all the competition. I would love to volunteer in a hospital setting as a backup plan for myself. I only have volunteer experience with children with language delays and autism. Thanks so much and good luck!
