  1. That's really helpful, thanks. Do you think most that already found consulting jobs already had work experience or worked at internships while they were studying? Thanks, really appreciate it!
  2. Anything more on Political Science/ IR related programs? Thanks.
  3. Hi, I'm looking at an Msc at LSE in the Fall, and I'm curious if anyone can speak to job opportunities out of LSE currently. I understand LSE has heavy recruiting starting as early as September, but I'm wondering if this is still the case even after the financial crisis, etc. I'm interested in consulting or finance opportunities. Any insight would be great- thanks!
  4. Good luck on your decision! Any input from LSE alums would be very much appreciated
  5. From folks I know who have done both programs and from my DC job... I would pick SAIS (but that's all worth a grain of salt). I've heard the Bologna program is incredible too! The SAIS reputation can't be beat. Both are great programs though and you can't go wrong with either.
  6. SAIS and Georgetown both have excellent reputations in DC jobs though, and they both translate easily into the private sector (perhaps SAIS a bit more than Georgetown). GW is fantastic and extremely reputable but may not carry as much weight in private sector jobs. Just a thought... All great choices! You can't go wrong!
  7. Also, the cost isn't too much of a factor, since I would ultimately accumulate the same amount of debt. My main concern with LSE is the uncertainty of finding a job afterwards (although, I understand they have excellent career services).
  8. This is very helpful- Thank you so much! I have a government job now, and the program I would do at American has the Econ coursework I'm looking for. That being said, I hope to move to the private sector down the road, and maybe into consulting work. I think LSE may be more beneficial for that move, but am still not entirely sure. Thanks, again, I really appreciate it! Decisions, decisions!
  9. Hi Everyone, I would really appreciate your input on my decision. I'm currently working at a federal agency and I could stay at this job if I go to American. I'm considering American's SIS. I would really love to go to London for a year, and I would like to gain some work experience abroad. I've been reading about LSE and it's not sounding great, though. I'm looking at the Msc in Comparative Politics. Any thoughts? Thanks!
