Biological Anthropology applicants are now being notified (happily, I got one). If you haven't heard from them, that doesn't necessarily mean you won't get one. In the last round (where I was not successful), there were high and low priority awardees. It's possible the low priority awardees won't hear for a bit. I don't know. I'm just saying don't jump to a conclusion without getting all the information...and good luck.
I received a request for budget information this morning. I can think of three ways to interpret it (from best to worst):
(1) WG is ready to fund you, but it wants to know if it can lay some of the cost to other organizations.
(2) WG has narrowed down their candidates a second time. While not all of us in this smaller group will receive funding, WG would like additional information from us.
(3) WG send this email to everyone who made it past the preliminary review they completed (and notified us about) several months ago. The email indicates nothing about our rank among the second round group.
Can anyone get some intel about this from other people in their program?
