Seems berkeley is sending out some rejections

That is very similar to my concentration, one phd admit and meng admits. This is a torture, I wish they have a firm deadline instead of rolling admissions, then stages like waitlists.

I wish you contacted them too, I did last week and was told to wait. I too checked the results and in mid to late March there are relatively few accepts. I hope they are not just late on confirmed denials

You are not the only one, my situation is kinda worse. Let's keep our hopes high. Did you try to contact the department?

When is the final decision date for ucsd? Unless there is a deadline you can wait for the others.

May I ask how u learned about cmu rejection? They tend to reject overqualified students like you.

Was thinking about the same thing, the website is down, our constant checking maybe the reason why it is down . Btw i just saw a phd admit to transportation on the results page hence sth is wrong two contradicting results. At least one or maybe both are fake?

You have great admits like uiuc and if I were you I would have laughed hard at MIT's rejection. Again congratulations.

Which field did you apply at UCLA? Were you interviewed? Hope it works out for you...

And this wait is killing me, now this. I am seriously fed up if this is true. Why would they make us wait if that is the case? I really wish someone could call them and ask. I see that many universities are late at sending negative results while we go through such a stressful phase while waiting.

Wow just saw a rejection from Berkeley stating they are not getting any phds this year(maybe only transportation), are they serious?

Waiting is a pain. Especially when you had an interview that seemed pretty good and now had to wait. Poi is still telling me to wait patiently, I hope this is not one of those cruel cases where I wait just to get a bland rejection email in the end. But waiting for it this much (I know PhD app is somehow different than MS applications) really puts so much stress on me.

Hmm if 17 March is Berkeley's open house does it mean the decisions are finalized and we are only waiting for rejection? Anyone receiving a PhD admit ? (most civil admits I have seen are Ms. other than the ones in January which may or may not be real)

Congrats, earlier today I received an email about them receiving my gre scores(from the secretary) but did not hear anything after that I guess it is a rejection.

Does anybody know if Columbia sent all decisions. I haven't received anything and it is most likely that they forgot to send the rejection. They know how to take your money but so slow in sending timely notifications...

Same boat. I guess you have emailed to the secretary. They are saying that decisions are being finalized but the deadline is one month from now. I am also checking to see if anyone got interview or admit so far.

Ok, haven't received anything yet nor there is any info on the application website. This is seriously depressing and I think I won't be hearing from them today since it is close to 6PM Eastern time. On one hand there are only rejections on the other why would they leave it until the last moment (March 1) if it is a confirmed rejection, it shouldn't be hard to send all confirmed rejections in tow days. I couldn't sleep well for the last two days (a few hours of sleep, headaches etc...) and probably I won't be sleeping today. I hope to see someone with a positive result ...

I am sorry to hear this. But I want to say you already have admits from great schools like CMU so you shouldn't be worrying about anything at all. I on the other hand still heard absolutely nothing...
